Transportation

School Bus Registration

The school district provides bus transportation for children living beyond walking distance of the schools. Again this year, all students must scan their student ID card as they enter and exit the bus. Student ID cards may be picked up by students at school orientation. Please register your student for school bus transportation for the 24-25 school year using the following link.

25-26 School Bus Registration

Transportation will not be provided until this form is completed. Please submit a separate registration form for each student. Bus information such as stop location, bus number, and arrival and departure times may be obtained at orientation or by calling the school. It is recommended that all children ride the bus on the morning of the first day of school to assist the driver in locating bus stops. As a reminder, students attending school out of zone from their normal school will not be provided transportation. Superintendent Mr. Brown advises parents, “To ensure a smooth start on the first day of school, it’s important for young children in pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, and first grade to wear identification tags. These tags should include their first and last name, telephone number(s), home address, and the correct bus number. Additionally, parents or guardians should have a family member waiting at the bus stop to meet them, as there may be delays with the buses during the first few days.”

Please be aware that route changes may occur during the year. We will attempt to update these as soon as possible after receiving new route documents.

All bus stop times are approximate as many variables (trains, traffic, traffic lights, etc.) may shift times on any given day.  For the first week of school, please be at your stop at least 10 minutes prior to the estimated pick-up and drop-off times.  As the routes become more stable, the times will become more accurate for your stop.  For pre-k and kindergarten parents, please have someone at the bus drop-off that is on the approved pick-up list in your school office.  Any questions about your stop or times should be directed to the Transportation Office at 793-5705.
