The Sumter County School Board will meet on December 9, 2025, at 4:30 PM for a Board Workshop. The Workshop will take place in the School Board Meeting room at 2680 W C 476, Bushnell, FL

The Sumter County School Board will meet on December 9, 2025 at 5:30 PM for the school board meeting and at the end of the regular meeting for a closed session, if needed. Notice is hereby given that the annual meeting of the Sumter County School Board Leasing Corporation for the year 2025-2026, will be held at 5:30 PM during the regularly scheduled meeting. The meeting will be held at 2680 W C 476, Bushnell, Florida and is open to the public. 

The Sumter County School Board will meet on Tuesday January 13, 2026 at 5:30 pm for a Public Hearing on ELA Textbook Adoptions. The meeting will take place in the School Board Meeting room at 2680 W C 476, Bushnell, FL. 

We welcome all stakeholders to take part in the review of the selected instructional materials. Below you will find a link to the student editions of the selected textbooks associated with each course.  The review process included using a rubric to evaluate each textbook for various required features including curriculum features, technology components, assessment features, alignment to district initiatives, Florida B.E.S.T.
