Lake Panasoffkee Elementary School is submitting an application for the 2026-2027 grant cycle. To learn more about this grant proposal, contact Nicole Goble at 352-793-2315 X50212. The grant application will be posted here once it is finalized. The grant, Ozzie’s Explorers” will focus on 1st and 2nd grade students supporting both academic and resiliency standards. 

 

 

MasterMinds (Webster Elementary School)

The 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) initiative is a key component of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Authorized under Title IV, Part B of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), as amended by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) of 2015, the specific purposes of the federal law. The purpose of the 21st CCLC program is to provide, to establish or expand community learning centers that:

  • provide opportunities for academic enrichment, including tutorial services to help students, particularly students who attend low-performing schools, to meet the challenging State academic standards;

  • offer students a broad array of additional services, programs and activities during non-school hours such as youth development activities, service learning, nutrition and health education, drug and violence prevention programs, counseling programs, arts, music, physical fitness and wellness programs, technology education programs, financial literacy programs, environmental literacy programs, mathematics, science, career and technical programs, internship or apprenticeship programs, and other ties to an in-demand industry sector or occupation for high school students that are designed to reinforce and complement the regular academic program of participating students; and

  • offer families of students served by community learning centers opportunities for active and meaningful engagement in their children’s education, including opportunities for literacy and related educational development.

Webster Elementary School offers the MasterMinds program, an after-school initiative funded by the 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant. This program provides students with a variety of services and activities, including youth development, service learning, nutrition and health education, arts, music, physical fitness, technology education, and academic support in subjects like mathematics and science. The goal is to reinforce and complement the regular academic program, fostering a well-rounded educational experience. Additionally, the program encourages active family engagement, offering opportunities for parents to participate meaningfully in their children's education.
