Sumter County School District

Sumter Virtual School (SVS) is a franchise of FLVS utilizing their Learning Management System (LMS) and curriculum.  SVS uses teachers hired by our district.  SVS is available for 6th-12th grade students. Homeschool students must complete a letter of intent to homeschool and may use SVS as their curriculum of choice.   Students seeking a diploma must meet all graduation requirements set forth by the Florida Department of Education including all testing requirements. As a homeschool parent, it is your responsibility to ensure that your student meets the promotion/graduation requirements. If you are a senior seeking a diploma through SVS you must contact the Supervisor of School Choice at 352-793-2315 ext. 50312 to sign up for Sumter Virtual School as a full-time student. Students who need to test will contact their zoned school testing coordinator no later than 1 month prior to the testing window opening. 

Florida Virtual School (FLVS) is available for all grade levels (K-12). Elementary students can enroll in FLVS.
