Student Records Requests – Sumter County School District
Sumter County School District now processes all student records and transcript requests exclusively through Scribbles and Parchment Award.
Please do not contact individual schools or email the webmaster. All requests must be submitted online.

Required Information
To ensure timely processing (typically 3–5 business days, up to 7 during peak periods), please include:
- Student’s current full name
- Name used while attending (if different)
- School(s) attended in Sumter County
- Year last attended
- Date of birth
- Contact information (email, address, or fax)
- Signature of the requester
- A copy of a valid photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, passport, military ID, etc.)
- For adult, community, or vocational education records: list of courses or programs attended
FERPA Compliance
- Students under 18: A parent or legal guardian must submit the request and provide valid photo ID.
- Students 18 or older: The student must submit the request and provide valid photo ID.
- Third-party pick-up: Requires written authorization from the student, a copy of their ID, and photo ID from the authorized individual.
