The Sumter County Spelling Bee was held on February 20, 2020. The top students from the school spelling bees participated. The following students represented the schools:

First place for the county was Marissa Couture. The 1st runner up was Samiul Kader. Our alternate is Hannah Weiss. Marissa and Samiul will represent the county at the district spelling bee in Orlando in March. Marissa, Samiul, and Hannah will be recognized at a May Sumter County School Board Meeting. Congratulations to all of the spellers who participated!
