  • In Memory of Taquoia

Wildwood Middle High School was saddened last week with the passing of Taquoia Schroeder, an 8th grade student.  On September 5th, students and staff wore purple in her honor.  She was a caring student that will be missed.

  • Support from the Sheriff's Office

The Sumter County Sheriff's Office Benevolent Association recently presented Principal Richard Hampton, Head Football Coach Mackinley Rolle, and Athletic Director Von Moreland with a check of $500 to support the football program.  We appreciate our school resource officer Deputy Mike Calloway, Sergeant Lawrence Wynn, and the other members of the Sumter County Sheriff's Office for supporting our athletes and keeping our campus safe.  Thank you for your generosity!

  • Girl Power!

The ladies on the WMHS campus found something special when they came back to school.  Mrs. Squire and Mr. Childs' wife, Jenna, volunteered their time to paint and decorate the ladies' restrooms on campus.  The restrooms are decorated with positive messages to inspire girls during the day.  Thank you Mrs. Squire and Mrs. Childs for your hard work!

  • USA Total Eclipse - August 21, 2017

Today was an exciting day on the WMHS campus.  Students and staff were able to see a solar eclipse using special glasses and viewers made from cardboard boxes.  Science classes were also able to see it on the web through live streams.

  • Free November SAT Registration and CSS Profile Fee Waiver for Hurricane Irma-Impacted Students

Free November SAT Registration and CSS Profile Fee Waiver for Hurricane Irma-Impacted Students To support students and families affected by Hurricane Irma, the College Board will offer a free November SAT registration and a CSS Profile fee waiver. We understand this is a difficult time for those who are struggling as a result of the storm. We hope this measure can ease some worry for students and ensure their college-going plans are minimally affected during storm recovery efforts.
