Welcome!

My name is Catherine Breen and I have been a mathematics teacher at SSHS for over a decade. I graduated from University of South Florida with a B.S degree in Secondary Education Mathematics. I am certified to teach 6th - 12th grade mathematics and developmental mathematics classes at Lake Sumter State College. 

Over the years, I have had the pleasure of teaching Algebra1A/B, Algebra 1, Liberal Arts Mathematics, Geometry and Geometry Honors, Algebra 2 and Algebra 2 Honors, Discrete Mathematics, and Dual Enrollment Intermediate Algebra MAT1033. 

Leadership positions and accolades I have earned include Instructional Resource Teacher, New Teacher Mentor, AVID site member, RISE site team coordinator, MathNation team member, and Teacher of the year (2021-2022).
