Hi, my name is Marcy Hendrix.  This is my fifteenth year as a Speech Language Pathologist here at Lake Panasoffkee Elementary School.  I assist with referrals, conduct evaluations, offer support and provide direct therapy services for students with weaknesses in the areas of communication skills.  These include speech (articulation, fluency, and voice) as well as langauge (phonology, semantics, syntax, morphology, and pragmatics).  During therapy sessions we address each child's individual communication needs while participating in educationally based thematic units.  This year older students will be engaging in communication improvement activities while participating a year long novel study of Roald Dahl's "Matilda".  Younger students will bo working to improve their speech and language skills while participating in mini studies of books such as "Corduroy" and "There's a Monster in My Closet".  I am excited to return for another year with the students I love.  I look forward to working with them to improve their competence with communication skills.
