Welcome to the Media Center!
I am Brandi Waddell, the Media Specialist at BES. I have an Elementary Education degree from the University of South Florida as well as certification as an Educational Media Specialist Pre-K-12. I have been in education for 24 years. I have taught 2nd-5th grades. Our school theme this year is "Ohana Means Family". At BES, no one gets left behind or forgotten!
Our facility houses a separate classroom for our Maker Space. A Maker Space is simply an area for students to invent, design, create and innovate. Our Media Center has a bank of three dedicated search computers, tables and chairs to seat 72, and a large sound proof T.V. production area.
The mission of the Bushnell Elementary School Media program is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information. This can be accomplished by providing informational and physical access to materials in various forms, by providing instruction to stimulate and enhance reading, viewing and using information, and by providing collaborative opportunities with other educators to design learning strategies to meet the needs of individual students.
