Welcome to First Grade!  I'm so happy to be your child's teacher, and I am looking forward to a wonderful year together!!  I am beginning my 30th year in the classroom.  My last five years have been teaching ELA in Middle School.  We recently moved to the area, and am delighted to be back with First Graders.   It is so rewarding to see the growth in reading during the first grade year!!

During the school week, the students will bring home the blue "Communication" folders.  Please check these daily, as they will usually have an easy homework assignment as well as important papers from the front office.  On Fridays, I only send home The Friday Folder with graded work, as well as Conduct marks for your child's week at school.  Those with all STARS get a special Treasure Box pick!
