Hello! Welcome to Mrs. McCorkle's 1st grade class! I'm excited to help your child shine bright this year. This is my fifth year teaching and my first year in first grade. I previously taught Gifted and Talented classes in the Sumter School District for four years. 

When I'm not teaching, you'll find me adventuring and having fun with my husband and two children. We love to get outdoors, visit family and friends, serve with our church, and explore! 

First grade is all about growth! I'm thrilled to help your child grow into a reader this year. You can support your child at home by checking blue folders every night, helping with AR books and homework, making sure they get plenty of outdoor play, and setting consistent bedtime routines.
