Ms. Gail Skipper

I am so excited to be your child's Kindergarten teacher as we set sail on their learning adventure!  This will be my third year at Lake Panasoffkee Elementary.  Kindergarten is such a great year.  You and I will work together to create an excitement of learning for your child.  We are going to have a wonderful time learning, making friends, being kind, developing independence and having some fun along the way.  I am a hands-on teacher. I will do projects, play and be active with the children.  We, as a 'crew', will laugh, hopefully not cry, but become a family that works together so that EVERYONE can learn!

Let me tell you a little about who I am.  I am a native Floridian, born and raised in Miami.  When someone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I always told them, "I want to be a teacher."My career path took me in the direction of early childhood education and administration.  My passion allowed me to direct teachers as they offered children and families the best preschool experience possible.  I also spent two years as an early interventionist, allowing me to learn and help families know that all children learn differently and at their own pace.  I bring all that to the classroom now, and provide experiences so every child can learn.

I am the mother of two boys who are men now, but they will always be my little boys!  I enjoy being outside walking for exercise, DIY projects, gardening, traveling, and taking pictures of birds and butterflies.  I will take pictures of your children as well, as I love to catch the moments when a child is having fun or experiencing something for the first time.

I look forward to this year with you.  This is going to be a year that we navigate how every child learns to their best ability.  I am a person who loves to talk, so please feel free to ask questions, share concerns and I will tell you all the great things your child is learning and achieving during this first year of 'big school.'
