Welcome, Adventurers! I am Mr. Castle, and I am so excited you are joining me this year in Fourth & Fifth grade. I have so many amazing things planned to make this year as fun as possible. By the end of the year you will be more than prepared for the next year.

TO THE PARENTS OF MY ADVENTURERS:

I am so thrilled that your child has been selected to attend my class this year. I was born and raised in Sumter county and attended Bushnell Elementary School myself. I graduated with honors from South Sumter High School and excelled in the early childhood education program there. After graduating from South Sumter, I attended Santa Fe College in Gainesville Florida, where I obtained my Associates degree in Elementary Education. While going to college in Gainesville I worked at a preschool teaching the voluntary pre-kindergarten program and shortly after began my career as being a director and working closely with the parents and Department of Children and Families. I also completed an internship at Terwilliger Elementary School teaching in the first grade. When I left Gainesville, I attended the University of South Florida in Tampa and earned my Bachelor’s degree in psychology. I decided to earn a degree in psychology to not only learn how to teach children, but also completely grasp the mindset of children and how intricate their though process can be. With this understanding under my belt I have high hopes that I can confidently teach your children everything they need to know to be successful in their academic careers.
