I have been a school counselor at South Sumter High School for 5 years. Prior to that, I taught 7^th grade ELA for 4 years at South Sumter Middle School and then moved to South Sumter High School where I taught 2 years of 9^th grade English. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Saint Leo University and a Master’s Degree in School Counseling from the University of the Southwest.

 I was born and raised in Ocoee, Florida and then moved to Sumter County 24 years ago after meeting my husband. We have two grown children now who both graduated from South Sumter High (Go Raiders J) I love spending time with my family and friends and enjoy boating and the beach.

 I have always had a passion for helping others, which led me to my career choice. As a teacher, I was able to help guide students with their learning. As a counselor, I am able to help guide students with not only their learning but their life path. I feel it is important for students to know that they have support and the ability to succeed in and after high school. My goal is to support them in their journey and help them make the best decisions towards their future goals.
