    • TESTING SERVICES

      Certain standardized tests are routinely administered. Other individual and group tests are given whenever the situation calls for them. Counselors are available to parents and students to interpret the results of these tests. The following tests are given:

      • ELA Reading and Writing
      • Algebra 1 EOC
      • Geometry EOC
      • Biology EOC
      • US History EOC
      • ASVAB
      • PERT
      • PSAT
      • AICE Cambridge 
      • SAT

      Students can also register to take the ACT and SAT. An independent company gives the ACT and SAT. WMHS is not a test site (except for the school day SAT given to Juniors). There is a fee to take these tests. Fee waivers are available for some students. See counselor for eligibility.

      EOC (End of Course) Exams - Exams administered to students at the end of the following courses: Algebra I, Geometry, US History and Biology, Civics.

       

      PSAT/NMSQT Grade 10

      ASVAB - The ASVAB stands for: Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery of tests. The results of the aptitude test and the interest inventory enable students to evaluate their skills, estimate their performance in academic and vocational endeavors, and identify potential satisfying careers.

      ACT - It is recommended that students start taking this test in the spring of their Junior year and continue to take it until the desired score is achieved. Students are encouraged to sign up at www.actstudent.org. Students who are on free/reduced lunch are eligible to receive a total of two application fee waivers from their guidance counselor.

      SAT - It is recommended that students start taking this test in the spring of their Junior year and continue to take it until the desired score is achieved. Students are encouraged to sign up at www.collegeboard.com. Students who are on free/reduced lunch are eligible to receive a total of two application fee waivers from their guidance counselor.
