Degrees and Certifications:
Welcome to Fourth Grade! I wanted to introduce myself to all of my parents and students. I graduated from St. Leo University as a highly qualified elementary educator. Teaching is a joy for me and I am so glad to be teaching here at Wildwood Elementary. I am proud to have been here for over 10 years and love this school. You will find out that I like to keep you informed with everything that goes on in the classroom. I will provide a monthly calendar, newsletter and phone calls throughout the year. It is a desire to work in partnership with the parents and feel it is important to keep you informed of your child’s strengths and weaknesses. Students are my first priority and I want them to succeed as much as you do.
My goals for this upcoming school year are to provide a calm and effective learning environment that will allow students to develop, abide by a well-rounded curriculum that will educate all levels of learners, have a neat and orderly classroom, provide a good teacher-student and parent relationships, assess conflict, and resolve it fairly. I will award positive behavior using wildcat dollars, which they can purchase items from the treasure box. Every day, students will be required to bring home their A.V.I.D. binder with their daily behavior noted on a calendar. They MUST bring their A.V.I.D. binder with them every day to school. I need you to initial each day recognizing your child’s daily behavior. I do a color system where purple is excellent behavior and red needs improvement. We also use Class Dojo. Please download this app on any smart phone and I will send you an invitation using your email address.
You are more than welcome to call me during my planning period (1:30 - 2:00), before school (7:30– 8:00) or after school (2:30 – 3:00) if you have any questions or concerns. Or you can email me at any time and I will get back to you within 24 hours (email is the best way to reach me).
