    Mission Statement
    Wildwood Elementary School endeavors to provide an academic, nurturing, and safe learning environment where diversity is respected and individuality is encouraged.
    Children, our most valuable assets, are provided an opportunity to achieve academic excellence and interact through engaging and challenging experiences. 
    Faculty and staff members are dedicated professionals who promote shared accountability among the home, child, school, and community to develop responsible, knowledgeable, productive, and compassionate citizens committed to lifelong learning.

    Ms. Laing's students completed a project using recycled cans as flower pots to grow marigolds.  The class did a great job!!

    Mr. Temple had agreed to have a barber come on campus and shave a cool design and the word READ into his head if students reached their goal.  Well, students surpassed their AR Reading goal by earning over 7900 AR points for the month of March.

    Mr. Temple, the principal of Wildwood Elementary School, was presented with a donation of new school clothing and a monetary donation from The Baby Boomers South in The Villages.

  • Welcome School days are back! School Superintendent Richard A. Shirley, on behalf of school principals and staff, the Sumter School Board and district staff, welcomes students back on August 13, 2018 for the beginning of a new school year. Parents and students are invited to attend orientations and technology days, as scheduled below, to locate classrooms, meet teachers, secure transportation, and receive supply lists and dress code information. All adult family members should bring a valid photo ID to check in at schools.
