The entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well in Sumter County as is clearly indicated by the significant increase in applications submitted from last year at this time. This year, both South Sumter High (SSHS) and Wildwood Middle High (WMHS) students jumped into the “Shark Tank.”
Education support personnel were recognized for being named the School Related Employee of the Year by the Sumter County School Board. Family, friends and co-workers accompanied these honorees to a reception at the Sumter County School Board Office, and to the awards presentation ceremony that followed. Individual well-wishes were given by Superintendent, Rick Shirley and by each school board member.
